Sometime in the mid 80's, Corder sold out to Darwin, who made the drums, wood shells, with no great success.The free old school loops, samples and sounds listed here have been kindly uploaded by other users. Ina great drum maker named Jim Corder bought all the machinery from Martin and re-branded the drums under his name. Martin was never interested in drums in the first place. I had a 70's CF Martin set, and the bearing edges on a couple of drums were terrible. Although there were some new innovations in terms of pedals and stands and holders, the workmanship on the shells was very inconsistent. I used them on the road for a couple of years, and they never failed.ĪroundFibes sold out to CF Martin, the guitar company. The bass and toms had fiberglass re-rings, but the snare did not. Free Choir Loops Samples & Soundsįiberglass shells were a new thing, The workmanship on the shells was good, and the drums killed. It came from the factory with a Roger Swivomatic tom holder and Rogers spurs because Fibes hadn't yet developed their own hardware. The original 60's drums were the best, but good luck finding a set in even decent condition.
Looks like it's a Martin era badge, all looks pretty original, pics have a weird ghosty effect because of my busted camera.
I understand that there were different eras but are some eras better than others? Different formulas or qualities that make certain ones sound better or more desired?
